For the
Holland Lakeshore area Real estate sales for the first 4 months of 2008 vs 2007. In 2007 there were 29 homes sold along the
Ottawa county lakeshore whereas in 2008 there were 20 sold. Average sale price for these homes was $471,738 in 2007 and in 2008 that number was $441,599 representing a 6% drop in average sale price. Average days on the market in 2007 was 156 and in 2008 it was 213. The highest price home sold in 2007 was $2,760,000 (an
Andrea Crossman list and sell) and the low was $111,000 in 2008 those numbers were $2,950,000 and $54,000, the next lowest was $129,920, so that $54,000 is somewhat of an anomaly along the Lake Michigan Lakeshore.
Prices are taking a dip for sure off of the water and on water properties, I beleive, are tempering a lot of the pain. I will follow-up with
Lake Michigan frontage homes so we may compare the markets.
